11 Amazing Tips To Get Flawless Skin
When it comes to facial care, everyone would do almost anything to make sure that they have a healthy, radiant and flawless skin. Here are 11 amazing tips for you to achieve a clear and healthy looking skin. It is not an overnight miracle but your skin will definitely thank you for these tips!
1. ALWAYSÂ wash your face before bed.
It is super important to ALWAYS wash your face before you go to bed. During the day, natural oil and sweat accumulates on your skin. Also, our face were exposed during the day to polluted air and the bacteria on your hands when you touch your face. Even if you do not wear makeup, the natural oil can cause clogged pores and can cause breakouts if you do not wash your face before bed. Never ever EVER go to bed without washing your face.
2. DO NOT sleep with makeup on.
Wearing makeup can cause clogged pores and leaving it overnight will definitely cause really bad breakouts. Always remove your make up and wash your face no matter how tired you are, it will open your pores and leave your face clean and fresh.
Also, try these steps to remove your makeup at night before going to bed:
First, wash your face with an oil cleanser. Second, use a balm cleanser. Third, use a gentle scrub followed by a gentle foam. Watch how clear and flawless your skin gets within a week and thank me later!
Alternatively, you may use Magika Argan Cleansing Flakes (MACF) for a quick wash!
3. Sanitize your smartphone/tablets, bacterias are EVERYWHERE! EWW!
According to studies, Scientists at the University of Arizona have found that cell phones carry 10 times more bacteria than most toilet seats. WHAT? ARE YOU KIDDING ME? Imagine the bacteria transferring to your face everytime you touch your face after touching your smartphone! YIKES! Use antibacterial wipes to wipe your smartphone everyday. It definitely helps.
4. DOÂ NOTÂ touch your face with your hands.
Touching your face can spread dirt, oil, and bacteria from your hands to your face, which can lead to clogged pores and breakouts. Wash your hands or sanitize them before putting any skincare or makeup on. Cover your fingers with clean tissue if you need to scratch an itchy part of your face.
5. Exfoliate! Tone! Moisturize!
Exfoliating is a process of removing dead skin cells on your face and to let new healthy skin cells to grow. By exfoliating, it allows products to work better and more effectively on your skin. Exfoliate your face at least two times a week. Next, apply toner using a cotton pad to balance the PH level of your skin and to shrink pores. The final step is to moisturize, which is a very important step because moisturizer hydrates your skin by locking and holding the water in the outermost layer of the skin.
6. WASHÂ your pillowcase.
Wash your pillowcase or change to a clean pillowcase once a week. Dirt, makeup and bacteria often collect on a pillowcase and will definitely cause breakouts on your skin. That is why sometimes you have no idea why these breakouts happen when you already did everything right. It must be that your pillow case is dirty. Go and change your pillowcase right now!
7. Apply sunscreen EVERY MORNING.
Apply sunscreen every morning even when it’s raining or cloudy. Make it a habit because our face is exposed to UV light every single day. Daily use of sunscreen can avoid sun damage to your skin such as wrinkles, age spots, brown spots and even skin cancer. These spots will definitely not make your face look flawless. However, you need to re-apply the sunscreen every two hours for maximum protection.
8. Drink lots of water & eat HEALTHILY!
Drinking water will work wonders not only for your skin but your health in general. Drinking at least 8 glasses of water a day will help get rid of toxins from your body. Also, the best food you can take to achieve flawless skin are food that contains Omega-3 Fatty Acids to keep skin supple and smooth (such as walnuts, salmon and sardines), Vitamin C (such as orange, broccoli and sweet potatoes) and antioxidant-rich food (such as carrots, pumpkins and almond butter). These food are not just super delicious but can help you get a flawless skin as well. Yum!
9. Get a PROPERÂ sleep.
Lack of sleep shows on your skin in the form of dark circles, dull complexion and even breakouts. Establish a better bedtime routine and get 7-9 hours of sleep every night. Your skin will look healthier and glowy when you get enough sleep (I feel like sleeping now!).
10. Vitamin C serums for BRIGHTERÂ skin!
“Vitamin C is one of the most effective antioxidants out there when it comes to brightening skin and preventing fine lines and wrinkles”, says dermatologist Shari Marchbein, MD. Vitamin C serums will help fade acne scars, dark spots and hyperpigmentation, to name a few. There are a lot of skincare brands that produce Vitamin C serums and you should start buying one. I promise you, the results are amazing!
11. Wash your makeup brushes!
Wash your makeup brushes and sponges because these can accumulate bacteria and lead to breakouts. Take a look at your makeup brushes and sponges, super dirty right? And yes, there are bacterias all over. Ugh, that's disgusting! To clean your brushes, fill a cup/mug with warm water and squeeze a few drops of shampoo in the cup. Then, swirl your brushes in the cup and gently clean the bristles. Lastly, rinse the brushes with clean water and lay flat to dry.
